We will be having our monthly TUCFCPUG meeting this Monday, July 19th.

Steve Bayless will take us on a tour of the Arizona Public Media (KUAT). His focus will be on the multi-station Final Cut Pro workflow that was implemented less than three years ago. This employs 6 Mac Pro workstations, a 30TB XSAN, two AJA IoHD boxes and dozens of iMac and other peripherals. We’ll discuss the benefits and difficulties of working in a multi-user, multi-format, and multi-delivery environment. One of the technicians in charge of the conversion will be on hand to answer any technical questions.

Networking starts at 6:30 and the tour starts at 7pm.

There is nearby parking at the 2nd Street Garage for a fee. Street parking on University Blvd. is free but you’ll have to walk through campus.

Bob Demers will discuss 7D DSLR cine workflows and the new Canon EOS Movie Plugin-E1 and will also present the phenom app called Pluraleyes;  syncs multi-camera and multi audio tracks without slates, slips or slides.  Pluraleyes is a great solution for DSLR cine double system sound.  We’ll also talk about your choices for getting great DSLR sound.

The meeting will be at the Auld Dubliner, 800 E. University Blvd.

Our May meeting will take place Tuesday, May 18th, at Gentle Ben’s, in conjunction with the 6th Annual Spotlight on Tucson Film Community Mixer.
