Come and See KUAT
Wednesday, July 14th, 2010Steve Bayless will take us on a tour of the Arizona Public Media (KUAT). His focus will be on the multi-station Final Cut Pro workflow that was implemented less than three years ago. This employs 6 Mac Pro workstations, a 30TB XSAN, two AJA IoHD boxes and dozens of iMac and other peripherals. We’ll discuss the benefits and difficulties of working in a multi-user, multi-format, and multi-delivery environment. One of the technicians in charge of the conversion will be on hand to answer any technical questions.
Networking starts at 6:30 and the tour starts at 7pm.
There is nearby parking at the 2nd Street Garage for a fee. Street parking on University Blvd. is free but you’ll have to walk through campus.
