We are very happy to announce that Stephanie Joyce of SmartSound (www.smartsound.com) will be our guest speaker for October’s meeting. September Meeting Features JVC Gear

Friday, September 4th, 2009

Welcome back everyone! We hope you all had a GREAT summer. The next meeting of the Tucson Final Cut User Group is going to be really exciting:

Join NVT Digital of Arizona, JVC Professional Products, and Apple for a presentation about the new JVC GY-HM100 and GY-HM700 solid state cameras!

These cameras were designed with Apple to record natively in the .MOV format for drag-and-drop editing with Final Cut Pro! These cameras also record in .MP4 format, which is the XDCAM EX format, so can work directly with Avid, Adobe Premiere, and GV Edius as well. You have a choice of ergonomic shoulder-mount or hand-held cameras, and both allow you to record 720p, 1080i, or 1080p, in up to 35MBps! Also these cameras use inexpensive SDHC card media, so save you loads in media costs. The talk will be given at the September Meeting of the Tucson AZ Final Cut User Group, and non-members are welcome. You will get a chance to see the cameras in person there and ask questions too. There will even be an Apple representative to help answer any Apple questions about using Final Cut Pro with JVC’s new cameras, and we’ll give you highlights about the newest Apple FCP software.

WHEN: Sept 21 – 6:30 to 8:30
WHERE: UA Media Arts Marshall Building – 845 N. Park Avenue, Room 211
